Their Love Story

Mickiah and Brayden met in church when they were just kids and by the time of their wedding, they had known each other for over twelve years. After a period of long friendship, they began to experience stronger and more intimate feelings towards each other. When thinking about their love story, Mickiah said “I had a crush on Brayden since he first started coming to our church, but I never thought I would actually ever date him!”

Their relationship began on Halloween of 2016 and nearly three years later, they were engaged. They decided to go on a small, weekend vacation that included sky diving and a trip to Cedar Point with both of their families. What Mickiah didn’t know was what Brayden had been planning for that sky diving trip! They got ready to get on the plane, Brayden was set to jump first, Mickiah was set to jump last and Mickiah didn’t think anything of it at the time.

“I had so much adrenaline and nerves pumping through me it was almost hard to jump out of the plane. Once I landed, I waited for Mickiah to join me on the ground where I was standing with a banner that said ‘Will you Marry Me?’”

As she was landing, Mickiah noticed the sign and actually told her instructor “Oh, someone is getting married!” but it wasn’t until they got closer that she realized it was Brayden that was standing by the sign. Once they were both on the ground, Brayden got on one knee and proposed to Mickiah.

Their Wedding Day

After 20 months of being engaged and building their own house, Brayden and Mickiah were set to be married on June 12, 2021 at the beautiful Abram Farm venue in Spencer, Indiana.

The aisle included a wooden path that was lined with greenery and blessed with a vibrant blue sky and beaming rays of sunshine. The mini bride and groom were ADORABLE and proudly stood alongside Mickiah and Brayden during the ceremony along with the rest of the wedding party. After the vows had been exchanged and the couple finally became united as one, their parents used confetti poppers in celebration of this joyous event.

Guests were then able to cool off with shaved ice and air conditioning before experiencing some exciting grand entrances by the wedding party to kick off the reception. The newlyweds shared their first dance, which was followed by a one-of-a-kind routine featuring Mickiah and her father. It was no doubt that no matter where guests looked throughout the night, they could find a reason to laugh or smile. After a day full of exciting events and surprises, Mickiah and Brayden made their way down a tunnel of sparklers for their exit.

The newlyweds will be honeymooning in California for one week and the Virgin Islands the next week.

Our Favorite Memory

It may have been the hottest, muggiest day of the year, but it was a wonderful experience to see the union of Mickiah and Brayden while being surrounded by an abundance of love from their family and friends, nonetheless! This wedding featured many unique aspects that we could easily choose from as our favorite memory of the day like the shaved ice truck, Mickiah’s dance with her dad, the first looks or how the dance floor was filled the entire evening. Honestly, we couldn’t just pick a single moment.

Every guest seemed proud, honored and full of joy to be able to witness the union of Mickiah and Brayden. Grandma Judy was especially proud… she exclaimed her excitement several times throughout the day and didn’t hesitate to join the fun on the dance floor!

Ultimately, our favorite memory was being able to capture special messages from the guests to include in Mickiah and Brayden’s highlight film. Every guest had something charming, meaningful, funny or inspiring to share for the newlyweds. It was truly an honor to be able to capture these memories from loved ones for Mickiah and Brayden to be able to look back on for years to come.
