Their Love Story

Jordan and Destinee met at the home of Danielle (Destinee’s sister) and Jeremy (Jordan’s friend). Shortly afterwards, they began talking and Jordan attended Destinee’s family’s Thanksgiving dinner. Jordan left Thanksgiving dinner with Danielle and Jeremy, who called Destinee to tell her that she “forgot something.” They met her on the side of the road and dropped Jordan off to ride with her. From there, they talked 24/7. Initially, Destinee wasn’t sure how she felt, but when thinking about their love story she said:

“He was such a gentleman and he felt more like a friend each day that I didn’t want to live without. It took him what felt like a million years to finally tell me he loved me but I knew he did for quite some time. No matter where we are or what we are doing, he always makes sure I am smiling or he will do something crazy to make me laugh.

I also love how he tends to our family (me and our fur babies) as well as our whole families. He loves his nieces and nephews so much and that means the world to me - how close he is with family! I love that he is always willing to help anyone even if he doesn’t know them…he has the biggest heart.”

When thinking about their love story, Jordan said he knew early on that Destinee was the one for him. They were dating and living together for about a year and when reflecting on that, Jordan said:

“I knew I wanted her for the rest of my life. I never have much confidence in myself, but she always makes sure that she believes in me and I know I can always do anything I want with her by my side.

The thing I love most about Destinee is how big her heart is. She would do anything for anyone at anytime and never think twice about it. She goes beyond what anyone ever asks of her and puts her whole heart into it. We can be anywhere, for example the grocery store, and if she notice someone struggling with finding something or reaching for something, she is there without hesitation.

The love that she puts towards me is more than I can possibly imagine. She makes me feel like the richest man in the world that has everything because I have her. And one more thing I love about her is her smile. That smile makes me melt every time I see it and I can’t help but smile back.”

Their Wedding Day

Destinee told Jordan that she loved him for the first time on December 15th, 2019. It was at that moment that he knew he wanted to propose. Their engagement wasn’t quite what Jordan had planned… he wanted to take Destinee to Tennessee (her favorite place) and propose on the sky bridge; however, Destinee started a new job just a week before, so that put a hold on Jordan’s plans. His second plan was to visit the place where they took their first picture together, but it ended up raining the day that they had planned to go. The day of the proposal, he kept asking to go to dinner for their anniversary and she kept telling him “no” because there was supposed to be heavy snowfall coming in and he had to be at work at 1:00am. Destinee had just gotten home from work and was in the middle of washing dishes when Jordan came into the kitchen and got down on one knee with their dogs right behind him. Jordan recalled the moment:

“She said yes and immediately started crying but was so happy we had to go to her mom and dads and show them right away. My favorite part of this was that we couldn't go to dinner because it was going to be late, but we didn't leave her mom's until 10 or 10:30pm. I will never forget it. I kept on insisting it was going to be fine, she said “no'“ but we stayed late at her mom and dad’s anyway and went through taco bell drive thru that night.”

When thinking about their wedding day, they explained that they both love having all of their friends and family together and that’s one of the biggest things they’re excited for: the celebration with their loved ones. When thinking specifically about what she’s most excited for, Destinee said that’s looking forward to seeing Jordan’s face when she walks down the aisle. Similarly, Jordan also said that he’s looking forward to that moment:

“The thing I most excited for is her walking down the aisle. I can't wait to see her and see those doors open and that smile she has!”

After the wedding, they’ll be heading to Cancun. Neither of them have been there before and this will be Jordan’s first time on a plane, so it will be a lot of firsts for them on this new chapter of their lives!

Our Favorite Memory

This wedding was full of wonderful, hilarious and heart warming moments. Choosing a single favorite memory was tough, but ultimately we landed on the unity ceremony. We have seen many unique unity ceremonies over the years, but Destinee and Jordan opted for a special twist. They created a time capsule together that they’ll open on their anniversary. In the capsule, they’ve included love to each other, which is just the sweetest thing and will be so special for them to look back on for years to come!

Jordan and Destinee's wedding was filled with many exciting moments though, so we have to talk about the reception! Their DJ, Bright Night Entertainment, hosted an incredible evening. The dance floor was never empty and the games were spectacular. Our favorite game was “Mission Impossible” where we had to chase the couple around to every table and try to capture the craziest image. The guests were ready to take on that goal and it certainly made for some memorable images!
